Monday 11th July – Former Love Island star Amy Hart was first to visit Subway®’s Detention Diner - a unique dining experience, inspired by 80s blockbuster The Breakfast Club, which is available to book at The Luna Cinemas’ screening in central London this week.

The experience, straight out of an 80s American high school, will give 12 lucky fans the chance to enjoy dinner immersed in the Detention Diner set, as they watch the outdoor screening of the coming-of-age classic. Those lucky enough to book a spot at the pop-up restaurant will be treated to a Subway Meal Deal feast of a Footlong Sub, cookies or crisps and a drink - even bigger and better than the never-ending packed lunch from the movie.

Inspired by the iconic library in which the detention of the 1985 'Brat Pack' flick takes place, the Detention Diner, pays homage to the John Hughes classic and will be complete with school desks and chairs as well as nods to the film including Prom posters and Varsity Wrestling Try Outs sign-up sheets.

Paying tribute to her favourite character, superfan Amy Hart was transformed into an 80’s high school princess, complete with cropped auburn locks and that infamous lipstick, before she took her seat in detention.

Former Love Island star Amy Hart said: “It’s no secret I love films and The Breakfast Club has been one of my favourites since I was a teenager, so I was so excited when Subway and The Luna Cinemas invited me to be the first ‘student’ to visit the Detention Diner. The set is incredible, and I’ve loved the 80s fashion, but I think I’ll try to keep out of detention in the future!”

Angelina Gosal, Head of Marketing UK & Ireland at Subway®, said: “We’re constantly looking for new ways to offer entertaining experiences for our guests, and where better to go big this summer than with our exciting partnership with The Luna Cinema. Hopefully fans of the film will love being able to enjoy a Footlong Sub ‘in detention’!”

Ahead of the screening, fans of the movie can also visit the Detention Diner to take on the ‘detention challenge’, where they’ll be challenged to stay quiet and avoid distraction from the class rebel, as well as ace a surprise ‘pop quiz’, to avoid a telling off by the Vice-Principal. Those who prove successful will bag themselves a Footlong Sub Meal Deal to enjoy during the movie.

The Detention Diner will be available for the public to book from today, at The Luna Cinema’s screening of The Breakfast Club on Wednesday 13th July.
