How you can help victims of violence in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek

All of us at Kellogg are deeply saddened by the senseless killings this past weekend in Kalamazoo. Ours is a close-knit community, and we were all impacted by these horrific events in different, but lasting ways.

While it’s easy to feel helpless in a situation like this, we are also determined to do everything we can to support our neighbors, promote healing and strengthen our efforts to help protect our community in the future.

That’s why we collaborated with the Battle Creek Community Foundation as the lead funder supporting the Help Now! Fund to assist the families of those impacted by Saturday night’s shootings and to provide support to other victims of violence in the Battle Creek/Kalamazoo community. The fund may work to support the financial needs of the victims and their families, organize community counseling efforts, plan citizen safety programming and promote anti-violence education, among other critical services.

Other organizations leading this effort include the Kalamazoo Community Foundation and the United Way of the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Region.

You can find more information and make a donation by going to www.HelpNowFund.org

A $10 donation can also be made by texting "Support Now" to 20222.

Please join us in helping our community come together to heal and support those impacted by this tragedy.
