Bisco Misr to join Kellogg family

The leading packaged biscuits company in Egypt is joining the Kellogg portfolio.  Kellogg has acquired a majority stake in Bisco Misr, maker of such highly popular brands as Bisco Luxe, Chico Chico and Bisco Wafers.

Headquartered in Cairo, Bisco Misr is a publicly-held company listed on the Egyptian Exchange. With annual sales of about $70 million, Bisco Misr was named among the Top 500 Companies in the Middle East by Forbes Magazine.

Much like our recent acquisition of Pringles – and Keebler before it – Bisco Misr is an excellent strategic fit for Kellogg.  And it helps advance our global snacks business in emerging markets – including Egypt and other North African countries -- where many varieties of Kellogg’s foods are already offered.

Founded in 1957, Bisco Misr has a long and proud history of delighting consumers.  We’re thrilled to welcome them to the family.
