ROSELAND, NJ -- (Marketwired) -- 01/28/16 --
Since opening its doors more than 15 years ago, TTM Technologies, Inc. has become a global leader in printed circuit board (PCB) products and custom electronic assemblies. It prides itself on giving customers a "one-stop solution" that covers all stages of the product lifecycle. It's no surprise, then, that they're expanding their relationship with ADP® to deploy what they call a "one-stop" solution that consolidates payroll systems and is helping smooth the company's transition to a broader human resources strategy given a recent acquisition.
In fact, TTM's acquisition of Viasystems Group in May 2015 not only doubled the size of the company, but accelerated TTM's need for a unified payroll system that could provide employees with a compliant payroll solution and ease day-to-day payroll administrative functions, as well as simplify complex tasks like wage garnishment. Initially, the ADP solution will support 5,000 employees in more than 15 manufacturing and office locations in the United States and Canada.
"After the acquisition, we quickly realized that we needed a common payroll system and an HR partner to help us manage our expanded employee base across North America," said Shawn Powers, senior vice president of global human resources at TTM Technologies. "In the four years we've been an ADP client, we've had very good experiences with the company and have been very pleased with ADP's solutions. ADP's brand, the credibility of its people, user-friendly solution, and flexibility all contributed to our decision to expand our relationship. Our high level of confidence in ADP was the deciding factor in our decision to use their solution to support a much larger employee population."
"We're delighted that TTM Technologies is relying on ADP's technology and expertise as a foundation for its broader human resources vision," said Mark Benjamin, president of ADP's Global Enterprise Solutions business. "As TTM's business continues to grow, they can rely on our global human resources and payroll experience to support their expanding workforce."
Implementing a unified payroll solution is just the first step in a strategic human resources roadmap TTM is undertaking that features plans to establish an HR services center. The company envisions using the center to institute common procedures and empower its HR organization to become a more strategic business partner, while remaining fully compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
"ADP enables us to operate in a compliant, reliable manner," Powers said. "ADP's proven track record of success through service was a significant factor in our selection. They've been a dependable partner."
TTM products are used by industries such as aerospace and defense, automotive, computing, industrial, medical, mobility and networking/telecom. The company currently has 23 specialized PCB manufacturing operations and five custom electronic assembly operations. The 28 facilities are located in the United States, China, Hong Kong, Canada and Mexico, and are supported by nearly 30,000 employees worldwide.
