Wounded Warrior Project to Address Joint Veterans Affairs Committees
WASHINGTON, March 6, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) will testify before the Senate and House Committees on Veterans' Affairs on the issues wounded, ill, and injured service members care about most. Rene' Bardorf, senior vice president of government and community relations for WWP, will speak with Congressional leadership and highlight where improvements need to be made on:
- Mental health and suicide prevention.
- Oversight of the VA Mission Act.
- Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs collaboration.
She will also call on Congress to:
- Ask members to support legislation on the Specially Adapted Housing grant.
- Reintroduce and support the Fair Heroes Act.
- Hold hearings and commission much needed comprehensive studies into toxins, including burn pits, and traumatic brain injury.
