- Shusuke "Kory" Koreeda to transfer to Mazda North American Operations -

RICHMOND HILL, ON, March 28, 2016 /CNW/ - Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) today announced the appointment of Masaharu Kondo to the position of President of MCI, effective April 1, 2016.

Kondo, currently Deputy General Manager of Global Sales & Marketing Division at Mazda Motor Corporation (MC), will succeed Shusuke "Kory" Koreeda, who is being transferred to Mazda North American Operations. With 28 years' experience with Mazda, Kondo has served in a variety of executive positions at Mazda's headquarters in Hiroshima, Japan and with Mazda Motor Europe, including overseeing Mazda Motor Poland as Managing Director.

In making the announcement, Akira Marumoto, Executive Vice President; Assistant to President; Oversight of Operations in the Americas and Corporate Planning Domain for Mazda Motor Corporation, said, "I would like to express my gratitude to Kory for his leadership and the contributions he has made to Mazda in Canada. Kondo has spent most of his career working for international markets in various sales and marketing roles, including General Manager of the Market Support for Overseas Sales Divisions at MC where he was responsible for product marketing, new model launches, and customer satisfaction initiatives for Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
