Senior Vice President, IBM Cognitive Solutions
David Kenny is Senior Vice President of Cognitive Solutions at IBM. His mission is to bring the world’s most advanced enterprise artificial intelligence capabilities to industry and domain applications. He oversees IBM’s AI platform and portfolio across multiple areas including health, security, talent, Internet of Things, engagement, and works to identify new areas of growth.
Previously, he was responsible for developing IBM’s Watson platform and optimizing IBM’s public cloud as Senior Vice President, IBM Watson and Cloud Platform.
Prior to IBM, he was Chairman and CEO of The Weather Company, and president of Akamai. He also served as managing partner of VivaKi, the combined worldwide media and digital arm of Publicis Groupe, and co-founder, Chairman and CEO at Digitas Inc.
David serves on the Board of Directors of Best Buy and of Teach for America. He received an MBA from the Harvard School of Business, and a bachelor's degree from the GM Institute (now Kettering University).
