(Feb. 7, 2018) -- Linda Thorpe, CEO at East Morgan County Hospital, and Linda Roan, RN, the hospital’s chief nursing officer, spoke in Phoenix Tuesday about the importance of partnering with the community to improve health.

Speaking at the 31st annual American Hospital Association Rural Health Care Leadership Conference, the two discussed collaboration in health care. They also stressed that health care no longer just happens in the hospital but in a continuum of care.

About 300 rural hospital leaders, health system executives, trustees, nursing and physician leaders listened to their talk.

Thorpe and Roan discussed EMCH’s opening of a new Women’s and Infant Services department. They also talked about how EMCH’s partnership with behavioral-health providers and long-term care center operators have benefited the Brush area.
