Greeley obstetrician will see patients in Morgan County

BRUSH, Colo. – To increase health care access for women, a Banner Health physician will begin seeing patients in Fort Morgan and Brush starting in November.

James Summers, DO, is part of the staff at Banner Health Clinic in Greeley specializing in obstetrics and gynecology. In Morgan County beginning Nov. 3, he will replace visiting specialist Paul Hiratzka, MD, who retired from practice in October.

Dr. Summers is familiar with providing care in Colorado’s rural communities. He has worked in Craig, Steamboat Springs and Canon City, Colo., and Montana prior to joining Banner Health in Greeley.

He received his medical degree from Kansas City University of Osteopathic Medicine and Biosciences. He completed a residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Medical School/Milwaukee Clinical Campus. Dr. Summers earned a master’s and bachelor’s degree at Illinois State University where he also was a member of the Illinois State Army National Guard.

Dr. Summers will see patients once a month at Banner Health Clinic, 909 Railroad Ave. in Fort Morgan in the morning. He will see patients at Banner Health Clinic, 2400 W. Edison in Brush in the afternoon. To make an appointment, please call (970) 810-6353.
