Sean Leary

Head of Investor Relations and Enterprise FP&A

Sean Leary was named the head of Investor Relations and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) in March 2022. He is Ally’s primary point of contact with the investor and analyst community and is responsible for development of the annual financial plan of the consolidated enterprise. Leary also oversees Ally’s Finance Transformation Office, which is responsible for executing a multi-year transformation of the group’s technology, data, and processes. Leary served as the executive director of Enterprise FP&A for Ally for seven years before taking on the Investor Relations responsibilities.

Leary joined Ally in August 2008. Prior to his roles in finance, he held leadership positions in Balance Sheet Management and Capital Management, where he was responsible for managing interest rate risk and capital allocation. Before joining Ally, Leary worked at Cerberus Capital Management and began his career at GE Capital, where he held multiple positions within the Finance and Capital Markets organizations.

Leary holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Wake Forest University and an Executive MBA from McColl School at Queens University, where he serves on the school’s Board of Advisors. Additionally, Leary serves as an executive sponsor of the CFO group's early talent development program and is the chair of Ally's Diverse Abilities Employee Resource Group.
