Daniel Eller

President, Insurance

Daniel Eller serves as Ally’s president of insurance, responsible for insurance operations including consumer automotive products such as vehicle service contracts, maintenance contracts and GAP coverage as well as commercial property and casualty products for dealers. Eller is focused on strengthening Ally’s relationships with dealers while optimizing and expanding insurance operations as part of Ally’s comprehensive Dealer Financial Services offerings.

Prior to joining Ally’s executive council as head of insurance in 2022, Eller was the executive director of Investor Relations. He led a team which earned distinction as the No. 1 investor relations program in consumer financial services by Institutional Investor. In his 14 years with Ally, he has held several leadership roles within the CFO Group, including balance sheet management, enterprise financial planning and analysis. Eller started his career at Banc of America Securities.

Eller earned his MBA from Queens University of Charlotte and his bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University, where he is an advisory board member for the Walker College of Business. He also serves on the Queens University McColl School of Business board of advisors and is a member of the board of the Dilworth Little League.
