Alexander Schenk is the new Managing Director for the Fendt plant in Hohenmölsen, Saxony-Anhalt, succeeding Dr. Thomas Schneiderheinze.
Since the beginning of April, Alexander Schenk has been in charge of the production of components for AGCO's full-line products in Europe, as well as the assembly of the Fendt Katana forage harvester and the Fendt Rogator 600 self-propelled crop protection sprayer.
"During my time at Fendt, I have always been impressed by the variety of tasks and challenges, as well as the different people with their power to overcome challenges together," says Alexander Schenk. "I am proud to be part of the Fendt team and in my new position I would like to position the Hohenmölsen site even better for the future."
Walter Wagner, Managing Director for Research & Development Fendt, has been appointed as the second Managing Director of AGCO Hohenmölsen GmbH. He brings his many years of experience at Fendt to the management of the Hohenmölsen site.
Alexander Schenk has been working for the Fendt brand since 2010 and has actively helped shape the direction of the Fendt brand in various functions and implemented fundamental strategic measures.
After graduating with a degree in industrial engineering from the University of Magdeburg, Alexander Schenk initially worked for a leading supply chain consultancy. As external project manager for the major project to build the most modern tractor plant network for the Fendt brand, the 40-year-old led the transformation of the Asbach-Bäumenheim site into the AGCO Group's center of excellence for cabs. In 2015, he served as Director of Production Planning and was responsible for aligning the production focus for all German sites among other things. This was followed by the establishment and management of the Fendt Strategy Office and a position in Fendt Marketing as the person responsible for the European product range of Fendt.
Alexander Schenk has been Director Operations & Business Development at the Hohenmölsen site since October 2021. Through these positions, Alexander Schenk brings with him extensive expertise in various functions of the Fendt brand and a broad network within AGCO.
