TaxSlayer Supports Injured Veterans Through Wounded Warrior Project

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., April 3, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Tax season is upon us, and one tax company is joining forces with Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) to help with filings while also supporting our nation's wounded veterans. As part of this initiative, TaxSlayer® is donating a portion of its tax filing processing fees toward supporting, honoring, and empowering Wounded Warriors served by WWP.

"It is an honor to partner with Wounded Warrior Project and support those who have served our country," said Scott Rhodes, TaxSlayer Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. "We recognize the importance of helping non-profit organizations sustain their efforts and provide a hand to those in need."

Thanks to generous donors, WWP programs ease the burdens on warriors, their caregivers, and families by aiding in the recovery process and smoothing the transition into civilian life – at no cost to them. WWP programs and services assist injured veterans with mental health, physical health and wellness, career and benefits counseling, connecting warriors with one another and their communities, and long-term care for the most seriously wounded.

"Paying taxes is one of life's absolute certainties – just like our unending commitment to support our nation's wounded veterans," said Gary Corless, WWP chief development officer. "TaxSlayer's generosity helps us connect wounded warriors with programs and services that will empower them to live their lives on their terms. We're extremely grateful for TaxSlayer's support and decision to help the veterans we humbly serve."
