Celebrating the NEW Sunrise Gondola at Canyons Village
This year we are excited to debut the brand-new Sunrise Gondola at Canyons Village. This state-of-the-art, 10-person gondola will nearly double the uphill capacity out of the Canyons Village base area, meaning less time in line and more time carving turns. Engineered for reliability, the Sunrise Gondola is less susceptible to wind holds, providing improved access during Utah’s famous winter storms. The multi-million-dollar project underscored Park City Mountain’s commitment to elevating the guest and employee experience.
Unveiling the NEW Enhanced Ski and Ride School Zone at Red Pine
Park City Mountain is thrilled to unveil a reimagined Ski and Ride School learning zone near Red Pine Lodge, where boundless experiences begin. This thoughtfully regraded area offers a more dynamic and inviting space for learning, with terrain designed to spark confidence, ignite a lifelong passion for skiing and riding, and welcome every guest to a place where they feel a sense of belonging from their very first turns.
A NEW Ski and Ride School Dining area at Red Pine Lodge
Connected to the new learning zone is a brand-new lunchroom, created just for young skiers and riders. This kid-forward cozy space welcomes our Kid’s Ski and Ride Schoolers to warm up, grab a bite, share a laugh, and make new friends before dashing back out for more snowy adventures. It’s a cheerful place where energy is recharged and excitement for learning new skills never skips a beat.
NEW Magic Carpet at the Red Pine Learning Zone
It’s not always the big gondolas and chairlifts that bring the most joy, sometimes it’s a magic carpet that sparks the biggest smiles. Park City Mountain is committed to creating boundless experiences for beginners, offering inviting spaces wherever guests can learn at their own pace and feel at home on snow. The new magic carpet at the Red Pine Learning Zone is a joyful step in that journey, helping ignite a lifelong love of skiing and riding.
Enhancements in Snowmaking Capabilities
This summer marked more major investments into our snowmaking capabilities. The Park City Mountain team replaced about 1,400 feet of old snowmaking pipe and added about 700 feet of new pipe, following last season’s major investments on Chicane and Another World. This investment ensures our state-of-the-art system continues to produce high quality snow surfaces in strategic locations across the mountain.
Refreshed Look for Historic Summit House Lodge
This summer, Park City Mountain partnered with celebrity designer Jasmine Roth to reimagine the resort’s oldest lodge, and the results are stunning. The refreshed design blends the charm of Park City Mountain’s original lodge with a fresh, modern feel that reflects the energy of the resort today. Whether you're grabbing a bite or warming up between runs, this inviting new space is ready to make your day on the mountain even more memorable.
Surprise and Delight Orange Bubble Bites
This season, Park City Mountain and the Canyons Village Management Association (CVMA) welcome the return of the signature Orange Bubble Bite, soft launched last season. This daily complimentary sweet treat welcomes guests back to Canyons Village following a day of adventure on the mountain. The Orange Bubble Bite is an orange, rosemary and honey-glazed donut bite served daily at 3:00 pm in the Canyons Village Forum. Guests should also anticipate this signature sweet treat at special events throughout the season.

- As part of Vail Resorts’ Commitment to Zero, in April 2024, the Elektron Solar Project achieved commercial operation. This new 80-megawatt solar farm outside Salt Lake City provides on-grid solar energy for 100 percent of Park City Mountain’s electricity needs. In 2022, Vail Resorts surpassed our 2025 interim goal of 50% progress toward zero net emissions, three years early, and achieved 100% renewable electricity across our North American operations (including Park City Mountain).
- As part of Commitment to Zero, Vail Resorts committed $25 million in energy-efficiency investments across our resorts, with a focus on snowmaking, buildings, and lifts. Energy efficiency is a key strategy in reducing the emissions associated with our operations. This season, Park City's snowmaking department will be introducing new solar-powered snow guns to its existing system that operates with approximately 70% low-e guns. The snowmaking department is focused on operating the snowmaking system as efficiently as possible, which involves only making snow during optimal temperatures and investing in new low-energy snowmaking equipment.
