Stevens Pass Winter Tip Sheet 2025-26
Located less than two hours from the Seattle area and deep in the Cascade Mountains, Stevens Pass is rugged, raw, and fueled by passion. Here, big mountain terrain serves as the backdrop to nostalgic charm, offering a small community feel with a whole lot of heart. Ski and ride the best of the Pacific Northwest from sunup to sundown with night skiing offered Wednesdays through Sundays during the core winter season. If you’ve been here before you know that SPKA. And if you don’t know what we’re talking about, this winter is the time to find out.
Close to Home, Far from Ordinary
Stevens Pass serves as the home mountain for many skiers and riders throughout Washington state, but we welcome guests from anywhere and everywhere to discover the magic of this little place tucked deep in the Cascades. Even though it's just two hours from Seattle and SeaTac International Airport, Stevens feels like a world away and makes for an incredible winter escape from the city. Plus, if you’re an Epic Pass holder, the iconic Whistler Blackcomb is just a short drive or plane ride over the border from Seattle, so you can ski locally at Stevens throughout the winter and make a bigger trip north, too!
Sunup to Sundown at Stevens
From sunup to sundown, Wednesdays through Sundays during the winter season starting December 17, ski and ride under the lights with night skiing operations at Stevens Pass until 10 PM. That’s more than 12 hours of skiing and riding each day during night skiing, meaning there are a ton of options and opportunities to get on the snow, even if you can’t be the early bird every day. Night skiing is a great way to extend your ski day into the evening, get in turns after work, or flex your travel plans to make commuting and parking a breeze. And speaking of easy access - skiing and riding midweek is just as good as any other day of the week!
Elevate Your Experience at Stevens
No mountain in the Pacific Northwest throws a party quite like Stevens Pass—and this winter, we’re turning up the stoke with a lineup of unforgettable events. While full details will drop closer to opening day, here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming up:
- Dew After Dark: When the sun sets, the fun is just getting started! Come ski and ride under the lights, groove to tunes spun by DJ Good Cat, and grab some swag.
- Women’s Weekend: Whether you're a seasoned skier or snowboarder, or just getting started, this unique event is designed to help you adventure further, build confidence, and connect with an extensive community of women who share your love for winter sports.
- Foggy Fridays: There's nothing like comfort food, Cascade views, and cold brews after a long day on the slopes. Enjoy them all with a live band every Friday at the Foggy Goggle.
Parking at the Pass
Stevens Pass sees a lot of day trippers throughout the season and with finite space for parking, our team is always looking for ways to best manage the parking and arrivals experience so that you can make the most of your time with us. Here are a few small tips that can help make a big impact:
- Carpool: Skiing and riding are better with friends anyways, so why not carpool!? Not only does this positively impact road travel and arrivals at Stevens but it also allows you to reserve parking for FREE on weekends and holidays when you visit with 4 or more people!
- Reservations:Plan ahead and guarantee a parking spot during our most popular times by making a reservation! Parking tends to hit capacity by 9 AM on weekends and holidays, so reservations have been implemented in certain lots during peak periods.
- Night Skiing & Midweek Visitation: While parking can regularly reach capacity by 9 AM on weekends, holidays, and powder days, Night Skiing operations offer the opportunity to flex your travel times and ski and ride until 10 PM Wednesdays through Sundays, starting December 17. On days when we reach capacity for parking, lots typically tend to open again by 1 PM, which means plenty of time to still fit in a full day on the mountain during night operations! And if you can swing it, why not visit during the midweek, when the crowds tend to be smaller, parking and arrivals quieter, and the terrain just as epic!
Stay Awhile
With its proximity to Seattle, Stevens Pass is an easy day trip for many skiers and riders, but why not stay a little closer or stay a little longer? Take the time to experience all that the mountain and the surrounding Cascades have to offer by cozying up for a couple nights. Let’s face it, one day on the mountain just isn’t enough to explore everything that Stevens Pass has to offer and to the east of Stevens at the bottom of the pass is the charming Bavarian village known as Leavenworth. The ultimate festive winter town offers authentic German cuisine, local breweries, shops, restaurants, and a vibrant atmosphere, alongside a variety of lodging options. To the west, Sky Valley offers a range of accommodations, shopping, dining, and recreation options in the heart of one of the Northwest’s most beautiful greenways. So come, stay awhile! Pro tip: Be sure to stop at the quaint little roadside stop between Leavenworth and Stevens, The Alps Candy Store, for a sweet treat (or several).
