Breckenridge Offers for Top-to-Bottom Skiing on Peak 9 Thanks to Lift Openings

BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. — Dec. 1, 2016 – Breckenridge Ski Resort opened Beaver Run SuperChair today and will be opening Mercury SuperChair on Friday, Dec. 2 with associated terrain for downhill skiing and snowboarding. With the opening of Mercury SuperChair, there will be top-to-bottom skiing and snowboarding on Peak 9 for guests to enjoy. Thanks to cold temperatures and snow in the forecast, Breckenridge expects to open additional terrain in the near future. Skier Services Updates
TBar restaurant at the base of Peak 8 is now serving breakfast with a delicious new menu including breakfast sandwiches, burritos and unique items like Bison Pastrami and Sweet Potato Hash. Sevens restaurant is open at the base of Peak 7 which is accessible by the free BreckConnect Gondola, Overlook Restaurant at the top of Peak 9 will open in full Friday, Dec. 2 and meals can also be enjoyed at The Maggie, TenMile Station, Vista Haus and Ski Hill Grill. Ski School is open for all ages and ability levels on Peak 8 and Peak 9.
Breckenridge Ski Resort requires all skiers and riders to observe all posted signs and warnings. Closed trails may contain hazards due to limited natural snow coverage and snowmaking operations. Please keep off closed trails and out of closed areas for safety reasons.

The Hartford Ski Spectacular, Nov. 27 – Dec. 3
In its 29th year, The Hartford Ski Spectacular continues the week-long event through Saturday, Dec. 3 presenting the U.S.’s largest winter sports festival for people with physical disabilities. The week-long event presents learn-to-ski and race programs, youth development camps, races and numerous other activities like Nordic/biathlon lessons and even sled hockey lessons. Lighting of Breckenridge, Dec. 3
Breckenridge’s holiday spirit shines brighter starting Saturday, Dec. 3 with the Lighting of Breckenridge event in Breck. The Race of the Santas featuring 100s of racers in Santa suits racing down the six-block historic Main Street course, carolers, a Bernese Mountain Dog Parade, Fat Bike Open race and Handmade Holiday Craft Market start the festivities before the lighting of the center tree downtown. The much anticipated kick-off event to winter, Dew Tour, returns to Breckenridge for its ninth year, Dec. 8-11, 2016.
