Heavenly to Open for Memorial Day Weekend
Resort to Offer Sightseeing, Hiking and Dining

Looking forward to the summer season, Heavenly Mountain Resort will operate the Heavenly Gondola during Memorial Day Weekend, Saturday-Monday, from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Heavenly will offer sightseeing via the scenic Gondola ride and the mid-station observation deck, with limited hiking trails and dining options at Tamarack Lodge, Café Blue and Heavenly Donuts.

“Memorial Day Weekend is the first look into what the summer season has in store,” said Pete Sonntag, vice president and chief operating officer of Heavenly. “The Heavenly Gondola and observation deck have stunning views of Lake Tahoe and exploring the upper mountain is an experience that is unique in the region. The opening of the Hot Shot Zip Line on June 12 will be the next exciting step in elevating this experience for our summer guests.”

Heavenly will open for full seven-day-a-week summer operations beginning Friday, June 12, 2015, with the debut of the resort’s new four line Hot Shot Zip Line as well as the Discovery Forest Ropes Course and Boulder Cove Ropes Course, which opened in summer 2014. The Blue Streak Zip Line, Black Bear Ropes Course and summer tubing will open full-time on June 26, 2015.

2015-2016 season passholders can take advantage of free access to the Heavenly Gondola during Memorial Day Weekend and throughout the remainder of the summer season. Passes are available for purchase at the Heavenly Gondola Guest Service Office and at skiheavenly.com/pass.
