Dew Tour Mountain Championships Kicks Off With Semi-Final Action at Breckenridge Ski Resort
WHAT:  
The Dew Tour Mountain Championships kicks off Wednesday with the first day of semi-finalaction at Breckenridge Ski Resort. Wednesday will kick off theweekend of competition with the men’s snowboard slopestyle semi-finals and the women’s freeski superpipe semi-finals.  Top competitors including Shaun White, Louie Vito, Mark McMorris, Scotty Lago, Tom Wallisch, Nick Goepper, Bobby Brown, Kelly Clark, Spencer O’Brien, Elena Hight and Roz G, are all set to compete on the world-class superpipe and slopestyle course at Breckenridge throughout the weekend.
 
The Dew Tour 2012 season concludes with an action-packed weekend in Breckenridge that brings more music, lifestyle andfilm elements into the new Dew Tour. The Mountain Championships will feature Recognize: A night of recognition for the action sports film industry,acknowledging the important contributions that film makes to the ski and snowboard industry and recognizing the groundbreaking and game-changing films of the season.  Guests of Film Night, held at the Riverwalk Center on Thursday, Dec. 13 will view segments from the year’s most influential and progressive movies, hear live commentary from the directors, producers and athletes involved in making them and have the chance to vote on their favorites.
 
Music will also play a big part at the Mountain Championships, with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis performing a sold out show on Saturday, December 15 at the Riverwalk Center.  Those that don’t have tickets can still get in on the music action on the mountain on Saturday, when DJ duo Two Fresh spin a set during Saturday’s Snowboard Big Air contest under the lights.
 
The Dew Tour Mountain Championships will be free to attend, giving fans access to be a part of the best snowboarding and freestyle skiing competitions and the Dew Tour Experience, a first class consumer zone featuring autograph signings, giveaways and more.  For more information visit www.dewtour.com.

Breckenridge Ski Resort – Peak 8
Media Center located in the bottom of the Bergenhoff House
 
Spectators will be able to access the Slopestyle and Big Air competitions directly from the Peak 8 Base Area; Look for directional signs for detailed access.
 
For all Superpipe events, spectators can access the venue in the Freeway Terrain park via Rip’s Ride (Chair 7) at the Peak 8 Base Area.  Free foot passenger tickets are available at any Peak 8 ticket window, from guest service personnel or at the chairlift.  Rip’s Ride is for uphill access only, so all foot passenger spectators will be required to walk down from the venue; proper footwear is encouraged.
 
Skier/Rider access is only available from Rip’s Ride, with a short traverse over to Freeway.
 
Busses and the BreckConnect Gondola will run late for the nighttime events from the Breckenridge Transportation Center.
