BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. — Nov. 20, 2012 -  announced today the resort’s plans to open Peak 9 terrain and additional terrain on Peak 8, including a double jump line in the Park Lane terrain park, beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 21st. Peak 9 will be open with full base area services, including ski & ride school and on-mountain dining at Ten Mile Station and The Maggie.

Thanks to the Breck snowmaking team, Peak 9 trail openings will be Silverthorne, Crosscut, lower Sawmill and King’s Way via the Quicksilver SuperChair. Guests staying on Peak 9 will have access to Peak 8 terrain via the Peak 8 SuperConnect.

Breckenridge Ski Resort will have approximately 145 total acres of skiing and riding for this holiday weekend. For the latest terrain openings, snow report and more,  or follow Breckenridge Ski Resort at or  on Twitter.

Uphill skinning is now permitted on Peak 8, but restricted on Peak 9 due to snowmaking operations. Anyone accessing the mountain before or after normal hours of operation must make contact with the grooming department or call the winch cat operations hotline at 970-547-5627 to find out where the winch cat operations are taking place and to receive information on designated open trails for uphill access.

Breckenridge Ski Resort requires all skiers and riders to observe all posted signs and warnings. Closed trails may contain hazards due to limited natural snow coverage and snowmaking operations. Please keep off closed trails and out of closed areas for safety reasons.
