Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour Will Be Frying Up Good Times at Keystone Resort
KEYSTONE, Colo. — June 5, 2012 —For the second year in a row, Keystone Resort will be a stop on the Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour that will feature, well, lots and lots of bacon. Whether a connoisseur of everything bacon, a foodie looking for something new or just a regular bacon lover who enjoys live music in a festive atmosphere, the Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour, June 23-24 in Keystone’s River Run Village, has something for all.
With over 2,000 lbs of bacon filling the Village with the aroma of salted, dried, smoked and fried varieties, families and friends can gobble, taste, drink, wander and jam while enjoying the high altitude Colorado sunshine. Industry-leading bacon purveyors such as Tender Belly, Eden Farm’s and Daly’s, in conjunction with Keystone’s spectacular restaurants and chefs will be showcasing all that bacon-infused food has to offer, including a cooking competition featuring both savory and sweet bacon dish categories. To wash down those bacon treats plenty of cold beverages and Bacon Bloody Mary’s will be on hand. One-day bacon tasting tickets start at only $30, with weekend tasting packages beginning at $50 (advanced online ticket purchase), including an event koozie and hat.
Festivities will animate the River Run Village from 1pm-6pm, both Saturday and Sunday, with live entertainment from the Village stage featuring talented musicians such as Better than Bacon, Hells Belle’s and Universally Famous Rocket Surgeons. All live concerts during the pork-tastic Tour are free to all Keystone guests and will provide excellent entertainment for an all-around great weekend getaway in the high-country.
Don’t forget to bring the youngest members of the family, because on top of having the chance to nibble away on bacon, kid’s craft activities will be offered throughout the weekend.
