Beaver Creek, Colo., Feb. 2, 2012— January snowfall at Beaver Creek was five percent above the monthly 11-year average and ski patrol has been prepping double black diamond and EX terrain in Royal Elk Glade and Upper Stone Creek Chutes. Portions of terrain in Royal Elk Glade and Upper Stone Creek Chutes will open for the season on Saturday, Feb. 4. Beaver Creek’s terrain will jump to 1,712 acres and will be 94 percent open with all 25 lifts operating.
