Breckenridge Ski Resort Set to Open Peak 7 this Friday, Dec. 9.
BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. Dec. 8, 2011 - Friday, Dec. 9th, will mark the third peak of Breckenridge Ski Resort's four to open for the season. The Independence SuperChair will start turning at 9 a.m. and Peak 7 trails will include, Fort Mary B, Claim Jumper and Pioneer. This will give skiers and riders over 440 acres of terrain to choose from across the resort. Skier services at the base of Peak 7 will also be fully operational, located steps from the high-speed, six-passenger Independence SuperChair and the BreckConnect gondola and will include ski school, ticket sales and rentals, and Sevens Restaurant.

To continue the Breck 50th anniversary celebrations this season, mini muffins will be handed out in the Independence SuperChair lift line while supplies last. Fridays festivities also include the opening of the Snow Beach at Sevens, located in front of the Grand Lodge pool area and the first of many beach parties there this season. Pull up an Adirondack chair from 2-5 p.m. for some DJ Stravros listening in the sun, contests, games, and food and drink specials all day long. Be one of the first 50 people to buy a beer during the Snow Beach party and receive a complementary Breck 50th anniversary pint glass.

Breckenridge Ski Resort requires all skiers and riders to observe all posted signs and warnings. Closed trails may contain hazards due to limited natural snow coverage and snow making operations. Please keep off closed trails and out of closed areas for safety reasons. For the latest terrain openings, snow report and more, visit www.breckenridge.com.

Breckenridge Ski Resort would like to remind skiers and boarders to park only in areas designated as skier parking. Both Peak 7 and Peak 8 are accessible via the BreckConnect gondola, which has two pay parking lots. Free parking is also available at the Airport Road overflow lots, and free shuttle service is provided to the gondola from routs throughout town.

Carpool and Save! Drive up all season long with four or more people in your vehicle and receive a $5 discount on parking at the Gondola Lots and Beaver Run Lot.

Located at the base of Peak 7, Crystal Peak Lodge is offering 20% off December reservations! Book here starting 8/8 or call 1-800-800-7829
