October Colorado Snowstorm Hits the High Country Just in Time for Ski Resort Openings

Keystone, Colo. — Oct. 26, 2011 — A late-October snowstorm in Colorado is making headlines across the country as snowfall amounts have reached more than seven inches at
Keystone Resort over the last eight hours, with heavy snow still falling. The ski resort opens to the public for the 2011-2012 season in just 10 days on Friday, Nov. 4. Breckenridge, Vail and Beaver Creek are also seeing snow, over foot in some areas as they also look ahead to their openings throughout November.
This snowstorm ensures skiers and riders can look forward to top to bottom skiing and riding for opening day at Keystone, as well as 25 new features for all abilities in the early season terrain park. Nov. 4 is also being named “Dercum Day” at Keystone, in honor of co-founder Max Dercum, who passed away this fall.
