Beaver Creek Rodeo Returns on Thursday, July 1 With New Local’s Pass

Dust off your cowboy boots and tack on some spurs as the Beaver Creek Rodeo returns for its ninth season starting on Thursday, July 1 and continuing Thursday nights through Aug. 19. New this summer, the Local’s Pass offers five rodeos for the price of four with pricing starting at $68 for the General Admission Pass.

The full line up of classic rodeo events include bare bronc riding, calf scramble, team roping, mutton bustin’, barrel racing, bull riding and burro racing. Pre-rodeo activities including pony rides, face painting, mechanical bull, and Western fare and barbecue dinner offered by Vail Valley chefs and restaurants begin when gates open at 5 p.m. Dates for this year’s rodeo series include July 1, 8, 15, and 22 and August 5, 12, and 19.

New this year, the Local's Pass provides five rodeos for the price of four. Pass pricing is as follows:

• VIP Locals Pass- $88
• General Admission- $68
• Seniors- $48
• Youth- $40

Rodeo tickets may be purchased at the Beaver Creek Information Center up to 3 p.m. on the day of the rodeo or onsite at the rodeo beginning at 5 p.m. The rodeo takes place rain or shine, and tickets are therefore non-refundable. Ticket pricing is as follows:

• VIP Seating- $22
• Seniors (ages 65+)- $12
• Adults (ages 18-64)- $17
• Youth (ages 13-17)- $10
• Children 12 years and younger- FREE

Registration to compete in the rodeo begins at 5 p.m. on the day of the event at the information tent inside the gates. Children may sign up for mutton bustin' and the calf scramble each Thursday night once the rodeo gates open. Adults ages 18 and older may register a team of three to compete in the burro racing competition.

Free shuttle service to the rodeo is available from the Covered Bridge in Beaver Creek Village. Shuttles run continuously from 5 to 9 p.m. Free parking is available directly across the street from the rodeo grounds, with a one-minute walk to the site.  Alcoholic beverages, pets, and glass containers cannot be brought onto the rodeo grounds.

Guests looking for a getaway can escape to Beaver Creek this summer with lodging starting at $72 per person per night. This rate is based upon double occupancy at The Charter, subject to availability, additional restrictions may apply.
