Eagle Bahn Gondola Opens on Vail Mountain for Early Summer Operations Friday, June 4
  • Free summer 2010 scenic gondola rides for current and 2010-2011 pass holders
  • Children 12 and under ride free with a paid adult
  • Lift & Lunch packages start at $27, including a $15 food and beverage credit
VAIL, Colo. – June 2, 2010 – As the snow continues to melt high atop Vail Mountain, summer operations are beginning to heat up starting Friday, June 4 for weekend-only (Friday through Sunday) scenic rides from Lionshead to Eagle’s Nest via the Eagle Bahn Gondola (Lift 19) in addition to limited on-mountain dining and Adventure Ridge activities. Scenic gondola rides are free to current and 2010-2011 pass holders. Up to three children ages 12 and under also ride free with a paid adult.

Bike hauls on the Eagle Bahn Gondola will be offered in the coming weeks as conditions permit. Daily and evening operations, Vail’s Friday Afternoon Club – also free to current and 2010-2011 pass holders – and additional dining venues will open for the summer season beginning Thursday, June 24.

Talon’s Deck
Relax and enjoy amazing views of the Gore Range and Mount of the Holy Cross from 10,350 ft. at Eagle’s Nest while enjoying delicious smoked barbeque at Talon’s Deck, open for lunch Friday through Sunday only, June 4 – 20 and Sept. 10 – 19 and daily June 24 – Sept. 6.

Vail Mountain’s popular Lift & Lunch packages will again be offered this summer, including a one-day unlimited scenic gondola ride lift ticket and $15 food and beverage credit valid at Eagle’s Nest for $27 for adults. Adventure Ridge at Eagle’s Nest
Vail’s Adventure Ridge summer 2010 lineup includes a variety of outdoor activities for the whole family. Beginning June 4, choose from the rebound trampoline, climbing wall or pony rides (kids ages 2-6) for just $10 each or three activities for $25. Disc Golf and horseback tours will be offered in the coming weeks as conditions allow.

Free activities at Adventure Ridge include a new slackline park, horseshoes, bocce ball, cornhole and all-time kids favorite Dino Dig. Learn about the environment through fun, interactive displays or join a free guided hike through the Discovery Center, a cooperative arrangement between Vail Resorts, the Gore Range Natural Science School and the U.S. Forest Service. Weekends only: Friday through Sunday, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

June 24 – Sept. 6
Sunday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
*Bikes are not allowed up the gondola after 4 p.m.

Sept. 10 – 19
Weekends only: Friday through Sunday, from 10am – 4pm
