B-Roll and Photo Alert: Vail + Beaver Creek

FRESH SNOW
Mother Nature rang in the New Year one day early and dumped 13 inches of fresh snow overnight at Beaver Creek and seven inches at Vail. In the past 48 hours both resorts received 17 inches and 12 inches respectively.

EVENTS
Epicurean enthusiasts should plan now to attend the Beaver Creek Master Chef Classic presented by Bon Appetit Jan. 28-30, 2010. The event features the Master Chef Challenge, cooking classes, wine and spirits seminars and the signature Grand Tasting event. Two-day lodging event packages start at $564 per person and include two night of lodging, two days of skiing and tickets to the Master Chef Challenge and Grand Tasting. www.beavercreek.com/masterchefclassic or call 888.920.ARTS (2787).

"Off your seat and into the street" is the winter rallying cry of Vail Valley locals and guests alike as the Bud Light Street Beat free concert series returns in 2010 to chase away both the chill of winter and the hump day blues. Catch legendary reggae band The Wailers for a FREE show at Checkpoint Charlie in Vail Village on Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. and don’t forget to register to win great prizes. www.vail.com or (970) SKI-VAIL.

VALUES
“Lunch for Less” is a new value meal that will be offered across all five resorts for $9.95 and it will include an entrée, side dish and a beverage. The Lunch for Less meal may vary from day to day and from resort to resort and include a wrap and soup one day or a pasta and salad the next. It’s the perfect way to refuel on the slopes and experience a variety of menu offerings over a multi-day visit.

Ski School Adventure Sessions
Spend your day with a top guide in a small group of similarly skilled skiers and riders- you’ll get the most out of your day, perhaps ski new routes, cut lift lines and pick up tips and technical information. Available to intermediate and advanced skiers and riders only for just $129 per person at Beaver Creek and Vail.

Ultimate 4 for Kids
This new semi-private class for kids features the “ultimate” student to instructor ratio. Small groups of no more than four will provide more individualized feedback and more one-on-one time with our pros. Rates start at $247 for the lesson only or $270 including a lift ticket at Beaver Creek; $235 for the lesson only or $255 including a lift ticket at Vail. Reservations are recommended; book online at www.beavercreek.com or www.vail.com.
