Paul G. Brown

USGA Executive Committee

Paul G. Brown, of Brookeville, Md., is in his third year on the USGA Executive Committee. 

He has four decades of experience in the banking industry, most recently serving as the President of City First Enterprises which is a non-profit bank holding company of City First Bank, the only bank in the nation’s capital that provides financial services to underserved communities in the region. 

Brown has served as an official at 40 USGA championships – including 8 US Opens – and is an instructor in the USGA/PGA Rules Workshops.  He served on the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship Committee for 16 years and is the Immediate Past President of the Middle Atlantic Golf Association and a Past President of the Washington Metropolitan Golf Association. 

He has served in various leadership positions for several educational organizations in Maryland and is a graduate of Leadership Maryland.

Brown earned his undergraduate and master’s degrees from Bucknell University.

In 2020, Brown will chair the Amateur Status Committee, and serve on the  Investment and Rules of Golf committees.
