Navin Singh

Chief Commercial Officer

As Chief Commercial Officer for the USGA, Navin Singh is accountable for creating, directing and implementing the USGA’s commercial strategy to maximize and sustain the financial and brand value of the USGA and its key assets.

 

In addition to managing the broadcast production of USGA championships, including the U.S. Open, Navin is responsible for negotiating and managing a billion-dollar global broadcast and digital media rights portfolio spanning more than 190 countries.  He is also responsible for the digital media products for the USGA, including usopen.com, usga.org, and related mobile and OTT products, along with content distribution strategy including live streaming of championships, and has led the creation of original long-form and short-form content, including the award nominated USGA Golf Journal series.

 

Navin oversees the USGA corporate partner program, creating innovative and impactful experiences for clients such including American Express, Cisco, Deloitte, Lexus and Rolex.  He also manages a multi-million dollar fan fulfillment business inclusive of ticketing, corporate hospitality, merchandise and licensing.

 

Before joining the USGA in 2016, Navin served as VP of International Content Strategy for Scripps Networks, which included the oversight of popular lifestyle networks HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel and Fine Living. He was responsible for identifying and crafting the distribution of key franchises on linear and digital platforms around the world, along with modeling production solutions for original content. Navin joined Scripps from WWE, where as a member of the international executive team, he played a lead role in the launch of the WWE Network across 80-plus countries, along with the valuation of multi-channel global media rights agreements. Previously, Navin served as VP, Digital Media and Strategic Partnerships for Wasserman Media Group, where he led strategic multi-channel media projects with clients that included the USGA, PGA of America and eBay.

 

Prior to that, Navin was at Golf Channel, where as senior director of business and strategy he helped lead the development of its GolfNow online tee-time business and interactive instruction platforms, along with building golfchannel.com into the No. 1 website in golf media. Joining Golf Channel in 2008, he focused on product/content strategy, consumer experience and loyalty, partnership marketing, and new product launches for web and mobile channels. Before Golf Channel, he was a manager in Accenture’s Customer Strategy Development practice, where he provided sales, marketing and product strategy consultation to clients such as RedHat, SAP, Travelers, UPS, AT&T, and Bell Canada, working with domestic and international offices. He also helped create Accenture’s CRM Diagnostic Tool, a proprietary framework and platform used to evaluate sales, marketing and service capabilities for clients.

 

Navin is a graduate of the University of Toronto, completing his bachelors of commerce with a specialization in management and economics.  He currently resides in Rye Brook, N.Y., with his wife Praveeta, and daughters Amaiya and Marisa.
