Chief Legal Officer

Chris brings nearly three decades of legal and business experience to the USGA, as well as a lifelong passion for the game, growing up playing public courses in central New Jersey. Most recently, Chris served as senior vice president, deputy general counsel for HP, Inc., where he led a team of 50 lawyers and legal professionals and oversaw commercial, consumer, antitrust, regulatory, supply chain and general corporate matters globally.

He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, as well as a master’s degree in journalism and juris doctor from Columbia University.
