United Concordia Dental named a 2024 Top Veteran-Friendly Employer by U.S. Veterans Magazine
Aug 16, 2024

CAMP HILL, Pa. (Aug. 16, 2024) – A long-held commitment to hiring, supporting, and serving the military and veteran communities has helped United Concordia Dental earn a place on U.S. Veterans Magazine’s Best of the Best Top Veteran-Friendly Employers List for 2024.

Each year, the national publication evaluates the nation’s employers, government agencies and educational institutions to identify the most veteran-friendly organizations based on their outreach and accessibility efforts. These unbiased studies serve as a valuable resource for the publication’s readers, job seekers, business owners, students, transitioning veterans and consumers.

“This recognition affirms our deep-rooted support for those who have served our country,” said Ed Shellard, DMD, president and CEO, United Concordia Dental. “We’re fortunate to have many team members who have served in the military, National Guard and Reserves. The unique skills, experience and dedication they bring to our company are true assets and benefit our entire organization.”

Along with U.S. Veterans Magazine’s Top Veteran-Friendly Employer ranking, United Concordia earned three designations – Military Friendly® Employer, Military Friendly Spouse Employer and Military Friendly Supplier Diversity – in 2024 from VIQTORY. The organization annually surveys companies’ support of veterans and their families through hiring and retention efforts, culture, compliance, recruiting, and advancement opportunities.

United Concordia administers dental benefits for nearly 1.8 million Uniformed Service active duty family members, and National Guard and Reserve members and their families who participate in the TRICARE Dental Program (TDP). It also services 1.4 million eligible active duty service members through its administration of the TRICARE Active Duty Dental Program (ADDP).

The company’s dedication to the military and veteran populations includes support for targeted outreach programs and nonprofit organizations that assist them. These organizations include the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS); the Paralyzed Veterans of America; the Fisher House Foundation; the National Military Family Association; and many more.
