Winner Selected for LA Kings 'King for a Day' Promotion

Mercury Insurance teams up with the LA Kings to create the ultimate "hat trick" for one lucky fan.

  King for a Day scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009.


  Who:    Last fall, Mercury Insurance Group and the LA Kings teamed up to
          offer one lucky fan a chance at being "King for a Day."
          Sweepstakes participants logged onto lakings.com for an insurance
          quote from Mercury that entered them in the promotion.  Mercury
          selected the winner.

  What:   The King for a Day event allows the winner to meet Hall of
          Famer Luc Robitaille and see what it's like to be President of
          Business Operations for the Kings.  The winning fan will join
          Robitaille for lunch; attend an official Kings business
          meeting/video scouting session; participate in a live, on-camera
          interview with Kings' website/FS West host Heidi Androl; meet and
          greet the players and view the pre-game skate from the penalty
          box; have dinner with Robitaille and Kings' Chief Marketing
          Officer Chris McGowan; receive two tickets and VIP passes to the
          evening's 7:30 game against the Detroit Red Wings; have
          behind-the-scenes tours of Toyota Sports Center and STAPLES
          Center; and receive LA Kings merchandise.
