RICHMOND HILL, ON (Sep. 1, 2022) – Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) today reported August sales of 4,754 vehicles, representing a decrease of 19.5 percent versus August 2021. Sales year-to-date (YTD) are 46,822, which is a decrease of 25.08 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
During the month of August, Mazda and ParticipACTION teamed up to encourage Canadians to spend more active time in nature to enhance their wellbeing, with the CX-50 Minute Challenge. The benefits of time spent in nature are well documented and can be achieved with a minimum amount of time: It just takes 50 minutes, three times per week. Through the month of August, Canadians rose to the challenge and collectively logged nearly 15 million active minutes in the ParticipACTION app.
AUGUST 2022 HIGHLIGHTS:
- CX-9 sets a new monthly benchmark for the third month in a row, besting the previous August sales record from August 2021 with 10.9 percent increase year-over-year (YOY).
- CX-5 also beat the previous record for August sales with an 8.3 percent jump compared to August 2021.
