RICHMOND HILL, ON, Aug. 4, 2016 /CNW/ - Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) today reported July sales of 5,909 vehicles, representing a decrease of 15.6 percent versus last year. Year-to-date (YTD) sales through July are down 4.2 percent versus last year, with 40,200 vehicles sold.
Key July 2016 sales notes:
- The all-new 2016 CX-9 continues to post strong sales, with a year-over-year (YOY) increase of 200.0 percent.
- MCI's best-selling model continues to be the Mazda3, with 2,356 vehicles sold in July.
- Mazda CX-5 continues to be MCI's second-best-selling model, with 1,991 vehicles sold, while the CX-3 remains the third highest seller in the Mazda lineup, with 855 units sold.
- Demand for the new MX-5 continues, with YTD sales up by 111.5 percent.
- SKYACTIV Technology proves to be the key between performance and fuel efficiency as customers demand a no compromise solution. 96.0 percent of Mazda vehicles sold in July were equipped with SKYACTIV Technology.
