Japan, October 12, 2005 - Astellas Pharma Inc. (Head Office: Tokyo, President & CEO: Toichi Takenaka, hereafter referred as "Astellas") today announced that Astellas will make a donation of 10,000,000 yen to the Japanese Red Cross Society assisting for the relief effort following earthquake struck in northern Pakistan.
Astellas expresses its sympathy for the people whose lives have been devastated by the earthquake and contributes to support of the disaster recovery.
