Texas Food Truckin’ Fest Kicks Off Friday in Arlington
(Arlington, TX) — A smorgasbord of Texas gourmet food trucks will help benefit a great cause at the first Texas Food Truckin’ Fest on April 26th and 27th at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, the largest non-governmental funding source for cancer research.
Texas gourmet food trucks, live bands and performers, activities for kids (including bounce houses, balloon artists and face painters) and a Rangers away game will greet attendees during the event. The two-day fest will give foodies much to be happy about as fan favorites like First Bite Gourmet, Taste of Home, Simply Dosa, Nammi Truck, Cupcake Garden, Bombay Chopstix, Oink N’ Moo and many more line the ballpark streets with delectable dishes. In addition, one favorite food truck will be chosen as the Best Truckin’ Food Truck 2013 based on audience votes by text. (Vote by texting “truckin” to 444888.) A special trophy designed and created by custom food truck and multimedia vehicle builder, Cruising Kitchens, will be presented to the winning food truck on Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m.
Along with food trucks and live music, FOX Sports Southwest will broadcast Rangers Live pregame and postgame shows of the Texas Rangers vs. Minnesota Twins away game on Saturday, April 27th. FOX Sports Southwest Girls Kaime and Liddy will also be on-site to meet and greet fans.
Kicking off at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 26th, a day pass is available for $10.00 or a two-day pass for $12.00. Kids under 12 are $5, and children under 32 inches are free. Guests can pre-purchase tickets by visiting www.texasfoodtruckinfest.com. Parking is included.
The fest will feature area musicians such as: The Jet Poets, Zach Coffey, Sand Dollar Rodeo, Dette Buentipo, Cody Dell Akridge, Off Margaret and HYMN.
