ARLINGTON CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU ANNOUNCES NEW PROMOTIONS
ARLINGTON, TX — The Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau announced a series of promotions — one Vice President, two Directors and one new Manager —reflective of the commitment to build and maintain a strong and dynamic team to achieve the bureau’s next series of goals for tourism and conventions in Arlington.
“Each of them plays a critical role in leading the bureau into the future,” said Jay Burress, President & CEO of the Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau. “I have strong faith in this team’s ability to think strategically and the respect they’ve earned in the industry.”
The team members promoted now hold these titles and responsibilities:
- Mary German, Vice President, Bureau Services & Programs. Previously Senior Director of Bureau Services & Programs, German will continue to manage the Services & Programs for the bureau. She will oversee the new position of Director of Partnerships and Programs.
- Kay Webb, Director of Partnerships & Programs. Previously Director of Tourism, Webb will now lead the bureau in a new partner program designed to enhance the relationships built with Arlington Marketing Partners.
- Decima Cooper, Director of Public Relations & Communications. Previously Marketing & Public Relations Manager, Cooper will continue to build the bureaus social media and public relations presence through unified communications and collaboration to maintain a strong brand in the tourism industry.
- Mike Chavez, Tourism Sales & Digital Marketing Manager. Previously Tourism Coordinator, Chavez will continue to build the bureaus digital marketing server products that provide the organization a platform for collaboration, information sharing and online tourism presence.
