Evergy CEO David Campbell to provide video storm update

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Dec. 16, 2021 – At 12:30 p.m. Evergy President and CEO David Campbell will provide a live video update about progress of power restoration following the windstorm that swept across Kansas and Missouri on Wednesday.

The video will be live and available for replay on the Evergy YouTube channel.

Wednesday afternoon and evening sustained high winds moved across Kansas and Missouri, exceeding 100 mph in some places. Over the course of the storm, 258,000 Evergy customers lost power. Crews began working on power restoration right away and work continues. As of noon Thursday, power had been restored to more than 80 percent of affected customers.
