CBOT to Host Media Briefing Following June 29
USDA 2007 Crop Report (Acreage)

WHAT:            The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) invites media to attend a briefing/panel analysis to discuss the results of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Crop Acreage Report.

The panel will include:

  • Brian Basting, Commodity Research Analyst for Advance Trading
  • Greg Wagner, Director, Marketing Risk Management for Horizon Ag Strategies

Panelists may discuss: the report’s impact on the potential volatility of corn, soybean and soybean product prices; the impact of corn acreage planted and projected stocks of corn, wheat and soybeans; the acreage of corn in relation to the ethanol market; and the report’s potential impact on consumer prices.
