BNY Mellon Receives a Special Commendation in the Prestigious 2014 Golden Peacock Awards in India

Company’s Global Delivery Centre in India recognised for established practices in Quality and Re-engineering

PUNE, 26 May 2014 – BNY Mellon, a global leader in investment management and investment services, has received a Special Commendation for Golden Peacock National Quality Award for 2014 for its Global Delivery Centres (GDC) at Pune and Chennai.

The certificate was presented to Dinesh Deo, managing director and chief executive officer of BNY Mellon’s GDC in Pune and Chennai, and Vikas Kohli, Director Quality and Re-engineering by Oommen Chandy, Chief Minister of Kerala, at the ‘Golden Peacock Awards’ ceremony during the '24th World Congress on Total Quality & Leadership’ at Trivandrum (India), on Friday, May 23, in the presence of eminent business leaders, jurists, academics, environmentalists, economists, legislators and policy makers.

Established in 1991 by the Institute of Directors, a non-profit apex association of company directors committed to improving the competitiveness of Indian business, the GPA awards have become one of the most coveted corporate excellence awards in India. The awards are focused on driving excellence in quality, innovation, training, governance, environmental management and corporate social responsibility.
