BNY Mellon Appoints New EMEA Regional Head for Corporate & Sovereigns Within Its Corporate Trust Business

LONDON, November 12, 2012 — BNY Mellon, the global leader in investment management and investment services, has appointed Alan Cottam as Regional Business Head - Corporates and Sovereigns for the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region within its Corporate Trust business.

Cottam will be responsible for strategic oversight and development of the client relationship management team, as well as collaborating with other BNY Mellon businesses to manage the coverage, distribution and delivery of all corporate trust-related services. He will report to Dean Fletcher, Head of Corporate Trust for EMEA. Cottam previously held roles at the Depositary Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC), where he was Head of Relationship Management, and Lloyds TSB Financial Markets, where he was a Director within the retail sales division for almost three years.
