Sep 20, 2012

NEW YORK, September 20, 2012 — BNY Mellon, the global leader in investment management and investment services, announced that it has won an Industry Innovation Award for 'Custody-Asset Management Servicing' from aiCIO magazine.

"BNY Mellon is being recognized for its continuing commitment to working with the world's largest asset managers and hedge funds, especially in the middle- and back-office outsourcing space," said Kip McDaniel, editor-in-chief and executive vice president of aiCIO.

This marks the third year aiCIO is hosting the Industry Innovation Awards.  The awards are broken down into five categories: Core Investments, Alternative Investments, Strategy & Tactics, Servicing, and Holistic.  Nominations were open from June 1 until August 1, 2012.  With input from an awards advisory board as well as surveys and data where applicable, the aiCIO editorial team made the final decisions as to nominees and winners.

"More than ever, innovation is at the heart of our growth strategy as a business and as an industry leader," said Lou Maiuri, executive vice president for BNY Mellon Asset Servicing.  "Whether you're a proven traditional manager or growing alternative fund, the new reporting and regulatory landscape has spurred asset servicing firms to develop new and better tools to streamline those clients' entire investment process.  We continue to invest heavily in this area and are honored to be recognized for this award by aiCIO."
