Announcing Details of New Share Class

LONDON, 13 August 2012 — BNY Mellon, the global leader in investment management and investment servicing, announced details on its new fully unbundled share class for UK investors ahead of the UK investment management industry’s Retail Distribution Review (RDR).

The company is launching a clean share class for ‘advised’ investments which are made through third party platforms. This share class, which is available from September 2012, will be offered on all funds in the UK domiciled BNY Mellon Investment Funds range, which includes the Newton Asian Income, Newton Global Higher Income, Newton Higher Income, Newton Real Return and Newton Global Dynamic Bond Funds.

Scott Goodsir, managing director, head of UK wholesale, comments: “By making this new share class available ahead of the RDR deadline, we are aiming to support the early transition to the new charging arrangements.”

The value of investments and the income from them is not guaranteed and can fall as well as rise due to stock market and currency movements. When you sell your investment you may get back less than you originally invested.
