BNY Mellon Investment Manager Sees Growing Demand in Multi-Asset Strategies

NEW YORK and LONDON, July 31, 2012 — Mellon Capital Management Corporation, the San Francisco-based global multi-asset manager for BNY Mellon, has hired Sinead Colton as global investment strategist.

Colton will work with Mellon Capital's global distribution and client services staff to develop customized investment strategies spanning a range of asset classes. She reports to Jeff Zhang, CFA, executive vice president and chief investment officer for Mellon Capital.

"We see a growing demand from institutions for outcome-driven investing that spans asset classes and for investment managers with consultative skills," said Zhang. Colton had been a managing director for BlackRock Multi-Asset Client Solutions, where she helped develop multi-asset strategies for clients in Europe. She also has worked for Lee Overlay Partners Limited, JP Morgan Investment Management and Chase Manhattan Bank NA. She received her bachelor's degree from Dublin City University and her master's degree from London Business School.
