BNY Mellon Hires Adds New Wealth Strategist to Pittsburgh Wealth Management Team

Tom Hamilton Brings 20 Years of Experience in US and International Wealth Planning

PITTSBURGH and NEW YORK, June 12, 2012 — BNY Mellon has added to its team of wealth strategists with the appointment of Tom Hamilton to the wealth management business for Western Pennsylvania, Ohio and greater Chicago. He will be based in Pittsburgh and report to Don Heberle, head of international and client segments.

Hamilton has 20 years of experience providing advice on US and international tax planning, wealth preservation, and business creation and succession planning for wealthy US and international families. Prior to joining BNY Mellon in May, he served as a wealth advisor at Wells Fargo Bank and previously served as a director in the wealth group at Grant Thornton.

A graduate of the TM Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, Hamilton is a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania and earned a bachelor's in accounting from Widener University near Philadelphia.

Tom has worked both in the US and abroad where he received the International designation of Trusts and Estates Practitioner in 1997. He is a past Secretary of the Miami Chapter of STEP and a member of the Bahamas Financial Services board. A member of the National Association of Elder Law, Hamilton is a past board member of the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Elder Abuse and Fraud Commission.
