BNY Mellon Appointed as Depositary for BTG Pactual Global Depositary Units

Innovative new DR program structured to support BTG Pactual's global initial public offering

NEW YORK, May 3, 2012 — BNY Mellon, the global leader in investment management and investment services, has been appointed as depositary for BTG Pactual Global Depositary Units (GDUs). BTG Pactual GDUs are comprised of the Global Depositary Shares of Banco BTG Pactual S.A., a Brazil-incorporated company, and the shares of BTG Pactual Participations, a Bermuda-incorporated company. BTG Pactual GDUs are listed on Alternext Amsterdam and trade under the symbol "BTGP."

BNY Mellon also will act as custodian for the underlying shares of BTG Pactual Participations' Brazilian Depositary Receipt program, comprised of units of BTG Pactual that trade on the BM&F Bovespa in Brazil under the symbol "BBTG11."
