Distinction as the only company with leadership rankings in both real money and hedge fund categories demonstrates breadth of BNY Mellon's service offerings

New York, February 27, 2012 — BNY Mellon scored firsts in five research and client service categories in Global Investor magazine's 2012 survey of foreign exchange service providers. BNY Mellon earned top rankings for Hedge Fund support, Technical Research, Capital Flows, and support for Asian clients on both an Overall – Weighted and Real Money – weighted basis. One of two top providers in the Real Money category, BNY Mellon is the only company with a leadership ranking in both the Real Money and Hedge Fund categories.

"The distinguishing characteristics of our FX service are the strengths of our research support and the responsiveness of our service offerings to client needs across the entire spectrum of institutional investments," said Jorge Rodriguez, executive vice president and global head of foreign exchange for BNY Mellon Global Markets. "This year's survey results clearly show that our clients appreciate the additional value that our research, product development and client service teams are adding to our foreign exchange services."

Rankings reflect client responses on an overall, unweighted and weighted basis to survey questions in 17 separate categories. Complete survey results will appear in the March issue of Global Investor/isf.
