BNY Mellon Names New Sales Manager for Wealth Management Group in Boston

Young Brings 20 Years of Experience in Sales Management, Business Development 

BOSTON and NEW YORK, September 19, 2011 — BNY Mellon has appointed Fred Young to the position of managing director of sales for investment management serving the Boston region for the company's wealth management business. Reporting to New England President Vicary Graham, Young is based in Boston.

Young, a 20-year veteran in the investment management industry, previously served as a vice president and relationship development manager at Glenmede. There he was responsible for marketing and sales for two of the company's New Jersey offices. Prior to that, as senior vice president, regional sales director at Wells Fargo (then-named Wachovia), he oversaw sales staff throughout the East Coast.

Young earned an undergraduate degree in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and is a certified trust and financial advisor.

Young and his family have moved to Boston from New Jersey where he was actively involved in community organizations including the Princeton Arts Council and Princeton University Art Museum, among other nonprofits.
