Joshua Miller Is Vice President in Wealth Management Business Serving Individuals, Families and Organizations

NEW YORK and BOSTON, August 24, 2011 — BNY Mellon has hired Joshua Miller to a newly created position in its wealth management business supporting the firm's clients nationwide with an array of private banking, wealth, tax and estate planning needs. Based in Boston, Miller reports to Senior Director Dan Gebhart.

Miller, a practicing attorney for seven years, joined BNY Mellon from the law firm of Holland & Knight where he advised clients on estate and gift planning, estate and trust administration, business planning, charitable giving and other matters. He earned his juris doctor cum laude from Suffolk University Law School where he also served as chief managing editor of the Transnational Law Review. A member of the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts of Massachusetts, he earned the organization's 2010 Robert B. Fraser Award for Pro Bono Excellence.

A resident of Brookline, he is a director for the Arts & Business Council of Boston, a director with the Rozalia Project, an environmental group, and serves on the professional advisors committee of the Brookline Community Foundation.
