BNY Mellon Capital Markets Expands Short-Term Fixed Income Desk

Appointments of Daniel Hill and Joseph Russo add more than 40 years of experience to commercial paper and other money market instruments trading team

NEW YORK, August 22, 2011 — BNY Mellon Capital Markets, LLC today announced that industry veterans Daniel Hill and Joseph Russo have joined its short-term fixed income desk.  Their arrival is part of BNY Mellon Capital Markets' expansion of its commercial paper activities to include primary as well as secondary dealing.  

The new additions to BNY Mellon Capital Markets' short-term desk bring a wealth of experience to their new positions.  Daniel Hill served in a number of leadership roles in the money market industry including manager of Merrill Lynch's global money markets trading and marketing business. He was involved in a number of products, including all sectors of U.S. and Euro commercial paper, bank CDs, bank notes and asset-backed medium-term notes. He holds a B.S. in business finance from California State University at Chico.  Joseph Russo's extensive international experience includes senior positions with Landesbank Baden-Wuertemberg's New York branch, where he served as head of money markets and foreign exchange trading, and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria's New York branch, where he was head of money markets and trading.  He earned a B.S. in finance from St. John's University.
