BNY Mellon Appoints Dominic Broom Head of Sales & Relationship Management, Treasury Services, for Europe, Middle East and Africa

Aug 3, 2011

LONDON, 3 August 2011 — BNY Mellon, the global leader in investment management and investment services, today announced the appointment of Dominic Broom as head of sales and relationship management for BNY Mellon Treasury Services, Europe, Middle East and Africa ("EMEA"). Broom reports to Alan Verschoyle-King, head of Global Sales & Client Management for BNY Mellon Treasury Services, whose appointment was recently announced, and replaces Verschoyle-King in the EMEA role.

Dominic Broom joined BNY Mellon Treasury Services as head of market development EMEA in September 2006. He has many years of experience in the transaction services field, and has helped develop the company's range of transaction banking services, including working capital solutions, and has been instrumental in growing the sector's business activities across the EMEA region.

"Over the past five years we've increased the number and range of clients we do business with in EMEA, and Dominic has been a key part of that growth", said Alan Verschoyle-King, head of Global Sales & Client Management. "With an increased focus on bank and non-bank financial institutions in the region, we have developed deep strategic partnerships with many of our key clients. These partnerships have allowed us to acutely understand our clients' needs on a wide-scale basis, and to better serve them via our existing suite of treasury products and services, as well as with new, customised solutions. I know that Dominic will continue to work in partnership with our EMEA clients to build upon these achievements and take our program to new levels of commitment, client-focus and success."

Broom began his career on Chase Manhattan Bank's graduate training programme, and prior to BNY Mellon held international positions at UBS Warburg Dillon Read, Standard Chartered and ABN AMRO. He holds an Honours Law Degree from the University of London and a diploma in Advanced French from the Universite Catholique in Lyon, France. Broom sits on the firm's EMEA Operating Committee and is a frequent chairman of industry conferences and a regular contributor to leading industry publications.
